A male canine was rescued by firefighters in West Miami-Dade. The animal had been trapped and was found in a garbage bin. After being checked for injuries, the dog was taken to a fire station where it was fed and bathed.

The dog, named by its rescuers, was given a safe place to stay. It was later examined by a veterinarian and found to be in good health. One of the firefighters has taken the dog in while it waits for a permanent home.
