A man was arrested in South Miami-Dade after deputies discovered a large quantity of stolen avocados. The arrest occurred during a routine check of the area as part of a summer operation. Deputies found the man, who owned the vehicle, with avocados in the bed of his pickup truck and in bags nearby.

Further investigation revealed more avocados, bringing the total to 142. The stolen avocados were valued at $852. The man was taken into custody and transported to the Agricultural Patrol Section office.
